Visa requirements
All foreign nationals are required to have entry visas to travel to the Russian Federation.
It cannot be obtained at the border, therefore you should apply for it before travelling.
The easiest and the cheapest way to get a Russian visa is to get a tourist visa to Russia.
To get a tourist visa all you need is a prove of accommodation in a city your staying in and a return flight.
The hotel will provide you with a Letter of Invitation.
There are 3 ways of getting a visa to Russia:
- use local Russian Embassy or Consulate;
- use a visa agent – they get visas done very quickly and it’s not too expensive;
- use a specially authorized travel agent.
The second option is the one most delegates usually use.
You may of course go ahead with a business visa, however, the process is more expensive and time consuming!
Regardless of a visa type, visa applications must be supported with appropriate documents.
Please note that getting a visa - is a responsibility of a delegate and not the organisers.
